- Ancient Mariner Added September 29, 2020★ ★ ☆ ☆ ☆Fishos was shut when we rocked up so turned to Google to find another option. This one came up, and we rang them to ask if they did gluten free. They did. Asked if they did gluten free batter, and they said they did. This is very rare so asked three times if they did gluten free batter. Yes mam we do. Yes mam we do. Yes mam we do. Rocked up all pleased and ordered, oh no sorry mam we don't do gluten free batter. Roll eyes! One of us had grilled fish the other battered pineapple, chicken nuggets and chips. All was nice except the fish. Very very dead. One chap was there on his own serving taking payment and doing the food all himself so took ages. Would give one star except the chips were nice.

Ordered a family pack and had to wait more than 40 min.
As far as I know any fish and chip shop gives you slices of lime/lemon , but was not there today.
The fish batter had a funny taste to it.

Brilliant fish & chips always get them extra crispy and w/chicken salt the best in town. Old school style shop harking back to the traditional fish and chip shops with quality produce and not overpriced at all.
